Introducing Dr. Anthony Bennett

“I was a skeptic,” admits Dr. Anthony Bennett. An appointment was made for me to see a local chiropractor, Dr. Vern Anderson, for headaches I was experiencing almost daily after a high school football injury. I was relunctant but went to humor my parents.

“It was incredible,” continues Dr. Bennett. “I’ll never forget that first adjustment. It was as if a huge weight was suddenly lifted from my shoulders. That’s when I decided I wanted to be a chiropractor.”

Dr. Bennett of Alpha ChiropracticDr. Bennett began his pre-chiropractic education at SFCC where he studied the basic sciences such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses.

After completing his study there, he was accepted at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During his four years at Palmer, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Palmer College Public Clinic. After graduating in 1996 Dr. Bennett returned to the Denver area to establish his practice.

“We love skeptics,” smiles Dr. Bennett. “I still remember the concerns and apprehension I had when I went to the chiropractor for the first time. So we make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to over communicate. Patients appreciate that.”

Dr. Bennett is married to Susan and they have two children, Ben and Cassie. Both children were born at home and have never been vaccinated or received an antibiotic. (If that sounds interesting, be sure to ask Dr. Bennett to explain!)

“Thank you for visiting our site. I hope it can be a source of hope and healing. If you have any questions, please call me or click on the Email the Doctor button at the bottom of every page.”

Dr. Tony Asks some important questions of interest to Denver residents - Chiropractor Denver Dr. Tony Asks...

Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognize two types of nerve disorders involved in subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
What does a chiropractic adjustment do?
Chiropractic adjustments give your spine a little "nudge" at the right place, right time and the right direction so your body can use that energy to "right" itself. With a schedule of consistent chiropractic visits, a new, healthier spinal pattern emerges.
